About
Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.
The Declaration is a new comedy about our nation's beginnings.
From The Sranger:
Dressing up in powdered wigs and colonial coats is funny, but specifically spoofing the Second Continental Congress is hilarious -- especially with an extra droll Speaker of the House (Nick Edwards) and a calmly bitchy John Hancock (Conor McNassar).

Watching this show is like seeing a talented skateboarder in action -- except he's drunk. The cast is clever. They bring off some impressive pirouettes of wit. (Read the whole review)

Re-enacting the scene from Trumbull's famous painting, The Declaration asks what caused the patriots to make
such a "dire" decision to be free. Andrew McMasters, the show's director. explains: The Declaration's goal is to highlight, in
a humorous fashion, the events that led our forefathers to break away from the British Empire."
McMasters also believes The Declaration will have a positive impact on theater-goers. "Hopefully this story will
help educate the audience to the many faceted reasons why we throw off tyranny and demand independence. It has happened in the past -
we can make it happen again in the future."
The cast includes Jeremy Brown (On the Spot), Jeannine Clarke (The Irish Wake), Anna Dufault (On the Fly), Nick Edwards (Hogwash), Conor McNassar (D.R.), and Colin Murphy (G.U.T.S)
