D.R. is a live medical mystery drama with comedic bite.
Part "House," part "ER," part "Scrubs," each show revolves around a patient recently admitted to the D.R. with an unknown ailment. It's up to a team of specialists to work through their own issues and diagnosis the case before it's too late.
D.R. plays at a venue well known for its improv comedy, the Historic University Theater. In the past five years, the HUT has garnered a national reputation for purveying cutting-edge multi-media long-form improvised shows, and D.R. is no exception.
D.R. is directed by Justin Sund and created by Adina Gillett - the same creative teams behind 2006's CUT!.
The cast includes Arthur Allen (Hogwash), Jason Anfinsen (Stimulus), Annette Auger (Breaking News), Destiny Boegelsack (CUT!), Rachel Jackson, Brandon Jepson (The Irish Wake), Steve Lange (Breaking News) Connor McNasser and Douglas Willott (Wallflowers).
D.R. performances are at the Historic University Theater, Thursdays and Fridays at 8:00PM, May 31st - June 22nd and July 5th - 20th. All shows are at the Historic University Theater (5510 University Way NE in Seattle) and ticket prices are $10 (GA) and $8 for students/seniors.
There is a D.R. Opening Night Gala on Thursday, May 31st. Following the 8:00PM show will be champagne, snacks, and drink specials will round out the night.
D.R. is produced by Wing-It Productions, creators of Jet City Improv, and sponsored, in part, by 4 Culture, the Washington State Arts Commision, the Seattle Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs, and Evergreen Hospital.
D.R. is brought to you by Wing-It Productions, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to enlightening, educating and entertaining audiences of all ages by producing theatrical events which explore theater by utilizing its improvisational roots.
This show is appropriate for all ages. There may be some adult language, and parental guidance is recommended.
