More about the show:

Wing-It Productions continues its stellar 2008 season with a show that harkens back to the golden age of entertainment. Well, at least the audible age of entertainment. Live at the HUT, a Seattle home companion, is a live radio show (and MORE) from the creators of Jet City Improv and Twisted Flicks.
Part Prairie Home Companion, part Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me, Live at the HUT is everything radio listeners love about radio... only LIVE and on-stage. Each performance features audience interactive game shows as well as staged episodes of the six-part radio drama "The Adventures of Hank McCain: Who Killed Mysterioso."
Hank McCain is a small time hustler, detective and con man sucked into a world of international power struggles, psychics and gangsters. Each episode follows Hank through his sordid life, leaving off with a cliffhanger where next week's story picks up. "The Adventures of Hank McCain: Who Killed Mysterioso" is the creation of comedy writers Rick Allen and Phil Arensburg, Phil joining the cast of Live at the HUT to play the title role of Hank McCain.
Director Andrew McMasters hopes Live at the HUT will continue the trend. At the very least he knows it provides an awesome interactive experience for theatergoers. “The goal with the show is to blur the line between mediums - theater, radio, internet and audience and performers,” writes McMasters. “Beyond the interaction during the show we’ll be encouraging our audience to catch up online by listening to the podcasts of the shows they missed.” Indeed, each performance of Live at the HUT will be recorded so audience members can listed to performances they missed and keep tabs on Hank McCain.
Live at the HUT was conceived and directed by Andrew McMasters, co-creator, co-founder, and Artistic Director of Jet City Improv and Wing-It Productions. The Assistant Director is Heather Fuentes and the Stage Manager is Rome Davis. The veteran cast includes Phil Arensberg (The Lost Folio), Jeannine Clarke (Shades of Gray), Amanda Denning (Twisted Flicks), Gabe Denning (Shades of Gray), David Rollison (Twisted Flicks) and Ian Schempp (The Irish Wake). Sound design by Skyler Burger.
Live at the HUT is produced by Wing-It Productions, creators of Jet City Improv and Twisted Flicks. Organizational funding for Live at the HUT was provided by Boeing, 4 Culture, and the Mayor’s Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs.
Live at the HUT is brought to you by Wing-It Productions, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to enlightening, educating and entertaining audiences of all ages by producing theatrical events which explore theater by utilizing its improvisational roots.
This show is appropriate for all ages.

Reviews

The Seatle Weekly:
Wing-It Productions’ live-action variety radio show broadcasts a gritty blend of 1940’s noir drama and hot, modern improv action before their studio audience, and to all America via podcast. Part theatersports comedy, part scripted drama-within-a-drama, Live at the HUT is a fast-paced blend of audience-interactive game shows, improv debates, spoof ads, and a six-part serialized murder-mystery. Audience-supplied details are woven into the performance, and the fourth wall disintegrates, with the cast playing themselves as they bicker during commercial breaks. Live sound effects and the ever-witty Ian Schempp as host keep the action moving for a madcap and hilarious evening. NEIL CORCORAN
