More about the show:
The Martini Brothers' (Posthumous) Holiday Showcase is NOT for the feint of heart. It IS for those who
are sick of the same old X-mas show. This fun, fast-paced and all-ages performance takes on dozens of popular Christmas shows,
stories and traditions to create a new, death defying holiday extravaganza complete with singing, dancing, audience participation and
puppets.
This is director Carol Roscoe's fifth original collaborative project and her latest show in a string of local hits,
including directing Seattle Public Theater's critically acclaimed production of Halcyon Days and Theater Schmeater's Bug.
"I wanted to do a holiday show that was fast and fun and light on its feet," Roscoe explains. "I didn't want a show that audiences
politely smile at and secretly suffer through. I want genuine laughter and enjoyment!"
The cast of The Martini Brothers' (Posthumous) Holiday Showcase includes Ethan Savaglio, Evan Whitfield and
Gabe Denning. It is written and directed by Carol Roscoe.
The Martini Brothers' (posthumous) Holiday Showcase performances are at the Historic University Theater,
Thursdays and Fridays at 8:00PM, November 29th to December 21st. Tickets are $10. There is also a special Opening Night Gala on
November 29th with champagne, snacks and a discussion to follow the 8:00PM performance. The bright-yellow Historic
University Theater, which now houses 156 brand-new seats, is located at 5510 University Way NE.
The Martini Brothers' (posthumous) Holiday Showcase is produced by Wing-It Productions, creators of Jet City Improv, a 501(c)3

Seattle Weekly 2006 review:
"If you can't recollect the last time you put on a holiday skit in the family den, here is a cheap ticket to
nostalgia. Playing up the universal theme of childhood mischief, three "brothers" act out a desperate montage of Christmas stories
for attention, throwing each other offstage in fits of sibling rivalry. In the spirit of true improv, the Martini brothers make
outrageous demands for theatre-wide participation, at one point goading hysterical audience members to perch on each other's
laps and 'play Santa'. This show is definitely more homespun than its downtown counterparts. For those who prefer traditional holiday
performances, the sight of a grown man in blue jeans and a spangled pink tutu pirouetting through The Nutcracker might be less than
appetizing. But most will probably find the second act's rhyming of A Christmas Carol รก la Dr. Seuss as yummy as green eggs and ham."
