More about the show:

Reunion Tour is the "unlicensed" and heart-wrenching biography of the birth, life and eventual death of a rock band. The story is told in a non-linear fashion, bouncing around the band's history, but beginning at the height of the band's popularity. The goal of Reunion Tour is to see how the band members forged this moment, what interpersonal drama led them there and, most importantly, how it will all come crashing down in the end.
Director Andrew McMasters (also Artistic Director of Wing-It Productions) says "I wanted to create a piece that uses all the musical and theatrical talents of the cast." Indeed, the cast will not only have to improvise the story, they will also be playing their own instruments.
The musical and theatrical talents will be provided by Scott Baxter (guitar), David Bestock (vocals & keyboard), Christopher A. Dewar (lead guitar), Brandon Jepson (drums), Shannon Kipp (volcals & keyboard), and Amanda Lee Williams (bass).
Reunion Tour performances are at the Historic University Theater, Thursdays and Fridays at 8:00PM, October 4th - 19th, and November 1st - 16th. Tickets are $10. There is also a special Opening Night Gala on October 4th with champagne, snacks and a discussion to follow the 8:00PM performance. The bright-yellow Historic University Theater, which now houses 156 brand-new seats, is located at 5510 University Way NE.
Reunion Tour is produced by Wing-It Productions, creators of Jet City Improv, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to enlightening, educating and entertaining audiences of all ages by producing theatrical events which explore theater by utilizing its improvisational roots. It is sponsored, in part, by 4 Culture, the Washington State Arts Commission and the Mayor's Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs.
This show is appropriate for all audiences.

Seattle Weekly review:

"For those about to improv, we salute you! Reunion Tour, the bastard lovechild of Spinal Tap and Behind the Music, riffs on the now-classic arc of a modern rock band, from the first hopeful jam session to the desperate reunion tour. In this unscripted full-length production, created and directed by Andrew McMasters, the cast plays their own live music, improvises song lyrics on stage, and invents - each night, right before your eyes - all the tangled details that develop between the bandmates during world concert dates, press conferences, interviews, and long, long nights on the tour bus together. It's an often unsteady ship, but with hilarious situations and crack-me-up song lyrics, funny characterizations and music that's a wonderfully off-kilter '80s rock hybrid of everything you hated to love back in the day. The troupe even posted their Reunion Tour Music Video on YouTube. NEIL CORCORAN"
