Cast
KELI CARENDER | ||||
| Just back from studying in Oxford and performing with the Oxford Imps at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Keli is thrilled to be a part of another Wing-It production, especially one involving Christmas! Her previous Wing-It experiences include Cut!, Reality World Season 2, and Burning Bridges. She can also be seen performing at Live Girls! Theater and with the Seattle Neutrino Society. When not performing, Keli is doing other things, such as: living on another continent, teaching math, or riding the ferry. She would like to thank her parents for being so wonderful, and for picking her up from the ferry at 11:30 pm on oh so many occasions. | ||||
NICK EDWARDS | ||||
| T'was June of '06 when Nick Edwards completed undergraduate studies and the real world he greeted. He moved to Seattle shortly thereafter, and tried to find work as a theatre actor. He recently improvised in the show The Declaration and worked on two runs of the Hogwash sensation. He also does plays where the script he recalls, like playing Rosewater/Stone in Crescendo Falls. And no doubt some will attest he played Pinocchio out at Arts West. Nick hopes you love Christmas with Uncle Mike and wishes you a debauched Saturday night. | ||||
BRENDA JOYNER | ||||
| Brenda is oh so merry to be joining the festive cast of Uncle Mike Ruins Christmas. Originally from the blustery cold of Anchorage, Alaska, her sleigh landed in Seattle after graduating from Western Washington University with a BA in Theatre Arts, along with a minor in Holiday Joy. Most recently, Brenda jingled her bells as Sandy in Bad Monkey's production of Blue Surge and fa la la la la'd as Smeraldina in Pinocchio at ArtsWest. Brenda wishes you many egg nog hangovers and hopes that you have a truly magical Christmas in the Northwest. | ||||
MIKE MURPHY | ||||
| "To me this isn't a comedy show. Our brand of 'edu-tainment', should leave your mind more full than a thought-steak. In addition, I have been allowed by my parole officer to refrain from taking my medication. Thus, the performance, shall be enlightening on multiple fronts. If this were a battle, every Saturday I would be General Sherman, and the stage would burn like a Georgian Plantation in the noonday sun. Watch out, the first three rows will get soaked." | ||||
GEOFF NUNN | ||||
| Geoff is excited to make his Wing-it debut with Uncle Mike. He has a B.A. in Theater from Loyola Marymount and has also studied with the Oxford School of Drama. Geoff has worked locally with the Young Shakespeare Workshop and behind the scenes with Theater Schmeater. Uncle Mike marks Geoff's official return to the stage after a hiatus to earn his Masters in Museology, which is only marginally more practical than earning a Masters in Acting. | ||||
IAN SCHEMPP | ||||
| Ian Schempp has been a member of Wing-It Productions since 2004, when he joined the cast of Jet City Improv. Ian has been seen in show such as Wallflowers ("Julius Hauberk"), Suave (" I.S."), and CUT! ("The Director"), as well as in Theater Schmeater's production of Adventures in Mating ("Waiter"). Ian was also a founding member of the award-winning Sisters of Sal. He would like to thank his wife for being amazing, and America for making Christmas rock again! If you were thinking of getting him something for Christmas, he already got Guitar Heroes III, so...socks? | ||||
STEPHANI THOMPSON | ||||
| One of Stephani's most cherished Christmas moments occured on December 24th when she was 9-year-old and was cast as one of the thre wisemen in her church nativity play. That's when Stephani realized her dream to perform. She went on to theatre arts school where she was classically trained in Christmas theatre arts. This is her first Christmas production | ||||
DOUGLAS S. WILLOTT (Director)
| Douglas joined Jet City Improv in 1996 at the tender young age of 17. As a member of Jet City Improv, Doug helped form the high school education program teaching technique and team building to the improvisers of tomorrow. With Wing-It Productions, Doug created and directed The Swing It Midnight Review, co-created and co-directed The Saturday Morning Cartoon Show with Brandon Jepson, and Election Show with John Boyle. Locally, Doug has worked with various theaters including Macha Monkey, Theatre Babylon, Live Girls, and Consolidated Works. Doug also worked on the Bill Nye series "Eyes of Nye" and was featured in the award winning short "Squatch on the Rocks" featured on Evening Magazine and in SIFF. | ||||
GRAHAM DOWNING (Assistant Director)
| Graham Downing likes to pretend that he is dark and mysterious and likes Halloween more then he likes Christmas, but he can't help but love everything that comes with this Winter holiday. Graham has been a cast member with Jet City Improv for a little over a year and half and before that appeared in many Wing-It Productions show such as Wallflowers, Cut!, Clues and Reality World. This is his first time assistant directing a show and hopes you enjoy it. He'd like to thank his parents and hope that if they do come to this show they forgive him for whatever happens. | ||||
CHRIS LUNDGREN (Live Music)
| Chris has been playing music for live, and reasonably alive, audiences for a long time. Born in 1961 and raised in Southern California, Chris came to Seattle in 1995 for a fabulous career in radio. He now works in sales and marketing for a residential lighting company. You do the math on that one. Chris spends his time away from Jet City working, reading, writing, working out and avoiding the sun and outdoor activities with a vengeance that borders on the psychotic. Chris has a potty mouth and is rarely allowed to speak during Jet City productions. Chris has scored more than 70 motion pictures for Twisted Flicks series and can probably reenact any giant bug movie from the 50's on demand. Chris would prefer you don't demand this. | ||||
STEPHEN ATWELL (Stage Manager)
| Stephen has no formal theater training. However, attended a high school with a very good drama department, where he got extensive hands-on theater experience. Stephen has also done technical theater work for Civic Light Opera. He holds a bachelor degree in Computer Engineering. Stephen has been attending Jet City shows since 1999ish. This show attracted him so much that he is now the stage manager of Jet City Improv, and Technical Director of Wing-it Productions | ||||
